With more than 15 years of extensive experience in performing complex surgeries, Dr Sukhvinder Singh Saggu is a pioneer in VAAFT, MIPH, Laproscopic sleeve gastrectomy and Mini gastric bypass. He specializes in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery, Bariatric surgery and GI Surgery. His pioneering work on obesity is well-recognized and he is of the firm belief that obesity is best treated through dietary changes and medical management.

Dr Saggu currently heads the Department of Surgical, Bariatric and Minimal Access Surgery at APOLLO SPECTRA HOSPITAL, Karol Bagh, New Delhi, India. Prior to this, he had shared his expertise with several Super specialty and Tertiary care hospitals including Fortis, MCD, and Primus hospitals. He also graces the panels of several hospitals in Kenya, Nigeria, DRC and Afghanistan. Over the last six years, he has conducted workshops, live surgeries and OPDs in several African and Asian countries.

An avid speaker, Dr Saggu has shared stage at various national and international forums where he has shared his experience on laparoscopy and best practices.

Dr Saggu has also several research articles to his credit and is regular face on media channels where he is invited to share his expert opinion on obesity and related issues. He is also a life member of various institutes of repute including Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), International College of Surgeons(ICS), International Academy of Medical Sciences(IMSA), International Federation of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery(IFSO), Obesity and Metabolic Surgeons society of India(OSSI) and Delhi Medical Association (DMA)
